These are some of the most horrific forgeries you will ever see. These look like they were penned by a 3-year-old.
The below forgeries are being sold by Ebay seller 2horsecarriage. They all look like they were penned by the same person.
My first question "Who is buying this crap!!!???" The people buying this crap are not real autograph collectors. They are wannabe autograph collectors.
The one thing I have always said for years is…

This is one of most horrific team-signed forgeries I have ever seen.
It is listed by Ebay Seller Oksafetyman. There is actually a bid on this garbage. These were all penned by the same hand.…

Lately, I have noticed numerous sellers on Ebay listing Stamped Signature Baseballs as authentic penned autographs. These are sellers who have the items in their hands and yet they can't observe that the baseballs contain Stamped Signatures? Seriously?
Or, are the sellers knowingly listing these Stamped Signature Baseballs as authentic penned autographs?
Let's take a look at the below item. It is listed by Ebay seller tommy7164. As you can see,…

We posted this on another website, but I felt this item needed exposure over here, too.
First, we have a baseball that contains the names of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Eddie Collins, Tris Speaker and Mickey Cochrane. The ball and signatures are authenticated by Drew Max, FDE of AAU (Authentic Autographs Unlimited).
Mr. Max calls himself a FDE (Forensic Document Examiner). He has appeared on the Pawn Stars reality show…

I was scanning some of the Coach's Corner Auctions and I spotted the below Babe Ruth autographed bat The usual piece of junk. As I'm looking at it, I remember seeing it on Ebay.
Ebay eventually removed it.
So evidently, after the seller (ddrproductions) had his item removed by Ebay, he then consigned it to Coach's Corner. You would have thought the seller, after his item was removed by Ebay due to authenticity concerns, would have done the right thing and had…

This is the most ridiculous Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Jackie Robinson set of forgeries I have ever seen!!!
I don't even know how to describe this piece of garbage. We've all posted some ugly forgeries on this site, but this one takes the cake.
It's from Ebay seller bigfoot471. Looks like a three-year old penned these forgeries.…

Here's a piece I found on the Coach's Corner Auction site headed by Scott Malack & Lee Trythall.
It's a 8X10 piece that includes autographs of the original eleven (11) members of the "500 Homerun Club." The piece is authenticated by Drew Max (AAU). Mr. Max calls himself a Forensic Document Examiner.
All eleven (11) autographs are horrific forgeries. …

Just recently on Ebay, one seller ($1gem) listed four Walter Johnson signed postcards.
Ebay seller $1gem listed four Walter Johnson signed postcards. One already sold for $487.00. The other three are presently (May 21, 2012) listed on Ebay.
Below are photographs of all four Walter Johnson signed postcards. All four were authenticated by Drew Max, who calls himself a Forensic Document Examiner (FDE). I also found it interesting that all…

As many of us know, Ebay has done a decent job removing forgeries from their auction site over the past twelve months, but during that time the forgers and sellers of forgeries have found other outlets to sell their forgeries of Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Whitey Ford, etc.
Over the past year or so, these forgeries have made their way into local auctions and these local auctions are springing up all over the country.
Numerous sellers of forgeries sometimes use an…

It was over two years ago when I started seeing some very odd-looking Derek Jeter autographs on Ebay. I had never seen that particular style Derek Jeter autograph before. At the time, that style of Derek Jeter autograph was only being listed by one Ebay seller, and the common denominator was that all of them were authenticated by Global Authentics (whose lead authenticator is Steve Sipe) and the now defunct GAI.
My first thought was "Did Derek change his…

As of today, March 2, 2012, both ACE (AutographCertificationExperts.....Justin Priddy) and CSC Collectibles, have been added to Ebay's Banned COA list. Below you will find the updated list from Ebay's website. Well done, Ebay.
I have never seen an authentic autograph with a COA from CSC Collectibles. Not one.…

Here's another beauty I discovered on Ebay.
It's a George H. Ruth signed Stock Transfer Certificate. It's "authenticated" by Drew Max, who calls himself a Forensic Document Examiner (FDE). He has appeared numerous times on the Pawn Stars reality show.
Maybe Mr. Max can explain to me why he "authenticated" the below piece? It's been over a decade since Operation Bullpen and according to the 2007 SCD interview with Drew Max, Mr. Max…

On Pawn Stars episode 322 (Chumdog Millionaire), Drew Max, Forensic Document Examiner, was once again called upon by the Pawn Stars to examine a high-end signature and this time it was a Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) signed "Letter To Clergy."
The FDR "Letter To Clergy" were all dated September 23, 1935.
Now some facts about FDR's "Letter To Clergy" dated September 23, 1935.
These were form letters mailed to approximately 121,700…

Today we are going to revisit the Sports Collectors Digest (SCD) May 2005 interview with Christopher L. Morales.
Back in May/June 2005 SCD published a two-part interview with Christopher L. Morales. The articles were titled "Newcomer Morales Touts Formal Training" and "Morales Employing Strong Forensic Background."
I will analyze excerpts from the interview without taking anything out of context.
SCD: How long do you spend per…

On September 9, 2011 the Pawn Stars reality show aired a segment in which they were offered a Bram Stoker signed "Dracula" book.
Corey (the same guy that purchased that ridiculously-funny Lou Gehrig signed jersey) was excited about purchasing the "Dracula" book signed by the author himself, Bram Stoker.
So Corey calls in "his buddy" Drew Max, Forensic Document Examiner, to examine the Bram Stoker signature. Mr. Max pulls out his Hubble-sized magnifying glass and begins to…

I have been in contact with Judge Lovert Bassett in reference to his lawsuit against Autograph Central (Bryan Slaven). Mr. Bassett purchased eight signed photographs from Autograph Central (Bryan Slaven). The eight signed photographs contained a total of ten (10) signatures of Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney and Elsa Lanchester.
All ten signatures were authenticated by Christopher Morales, Forensic…

The May 20th, 2011 Coach's Corner Auctions started about ten days ago. They list approximately 4,000 items every four weeks.
Contained within those 4,000 items each and every month are usually between 2-4 Beatles signed albums. They are usually "authenticated" by either Chris Morales or Ted Taylor (Stat Authentic/TTA).
This month Scott Malack and Lee Trythall of Coach's Corner Auctions listed eleven (11) Beatles signed items. Five (5) are "authenticated" by Ted Taylor…
