Sandy Koufax Forged Counterfeit 2000 SP Authentic Card

Immediately below, is a link to my previous blog titled "Derek Jeter Forged Signed Counterfeit 1994/1995 Upper Deck Baseball Card:  Part 2."

https://live.autographmagazine.com/profiles/blogs/derek-jeter-forge...

I have in my possession a Sandy Koufax "2000 SP Authentic" forged/counterfeit card.   I purchased this knowing it was a laughable forgery and counterfeit card, but I wanted to examine it in-person.  It definitely feels different than a authentic card.

The below forged/counterfeit Koufax card, is actually the "Koufax" shown at the one-hour and eighteen-minute mark of the below YouTube video.

Observe that it DID NOT come out of a Upper Deck pack of cards.

Here is a screenshot from the YouTube video.

Here is the Koufax card.

As you can clearly see, it is a no-brainer forgery.

Here is the back of the card.

Observe how close the vertical "Sandy Koufax" is to the outside border.

Here are others.

Look at this crap.  These forgeries all look like they were penned by a two-year old.

Most of he forged/counterfeit versions of this  also have serious chipping issues.

Of course the forgeries were penned by a moron.

This one is listed by Ebay seller Papergoldtradingcards.

Obvious forgery and confirmed counterfeit.

This one is listed by Ebay seller Jman2287.

Look how horribly the counterfeit cut this card.

These are all ugly and obvious forgeries and as you can plainly observe the cards are counterfeit.

Putrid forgery.

Here is the back of the above card.   Cut worse than the others.

The below image shows the authentic Koufax reverse on the left and an the counterfeit Koufax on the right.

The vertical "Sandy Koufax" should be closely-centered between the outside border and inside border.

The morons who created this train wreck, not only employed an amateur forger, but they cut it horribly and used an obvious fake hologram.

You can click your mouse on the below image to get a closer view.

Here are more.

These are no-brainer forgeries and counterfeit cards.

It is no coincidence that the primary Ebay sellers of the Jeter and Koufax forged/counterfeit cards stopped listing them immediately after my Derek jeter "Forged/Counterfeit" blog was published.

what I find comical is that there must have been a lot of effort put in to reproduce the card.  Then they butcher the signature.

They sure did, Terrier.

They could have spend more effort on the card itself. Can't see any difference between the two signatures.

Patrick, the forged autograph is painfully obvious.

The key to this counterfeiting operation is the COA on the back of the card...

That's what people where buying ("the back of the card"), not the autograph.

Ok know I got it. So it is kind a like a collector card without any individual signature or serial number? Crazy.

Well they did a bad job then to copy the original card.

They also butcher the cutting of the cards, especially the Jeter ones. They look like they are cut with steak knives.

They sure do, BC.
