Hello, Anyone have an opinion on this Hendrix signature if it can be authenticated due to the missing letters in Hendrix? I purchased a beautiful Hendrix cut from the same estate and it just passed JSA but not sure if this one is worth it signed by all 3. Thanks Markark

In my opinion, enough of the signature remains to tell that it isn't authentic.

BallroomDays is good on Hendrix, but if the other piece passed JSA,I'd spend $15 for an online opinion from www.rogerepperson.com. Roger is JSA's classic rock authenticator.

Thanks for the comments. All three yes three were obtained in one day in 1968 in tampa Florida at his show at Curtis Hixon Hall and after at his hotel the Paladium came from a recent estate where the guy passed away and left everything to his friend who does not collect. He drove the guy to the show he did not have a car yet and saw Hendrix sign all three for his friend the cut that i have was actually 2 signatures on one piece of paper folded over the other one was sold at Hunts auction and also passed JSA the album was given to a young family member who found out how much the cuts sold for wanted to sell this album. I wasn't asking if it was real that is not the issue just with missing letters would jsa or roger even write a letter for it. I will find out tomorrow just emailed Spence. Thanks again Mark

Can we possibly see the one that was authenticated by JSA?

The Hendrix pictured above looks very strange to me after comparing to some examples from R and R auction and PSA. The Jimi doesnt look right at all. Although im not as educated as Ballroom on him, i dont think this autograph is authentic either. Could you please post your JSA certed example from this same individual that sold you this one???????? Unfortunately if this one is bad, it stands to reason the others might be bad too. I know you stated that the authenticity wasnt your question, but i would recommend that it should be on this item and possibly the others.

Here's a JSA authenticated Hendrix autograph that sold through Hunt's auctions on 12/19/12, and which does appear to be authentic. Very weird.

I agree with both of you. The little I can see doesn't look right. Ballroom, the Hunt's Hendrix you posted is easy to authenticate. There's nothing atypical about it. On the album, the uprights of the 'H' are too parallel. The crossbar is too curved where it starts what would be the 'e'; what I can see of the 'd' doesn't resemble anything I recall seeing. And that's not saying anything about the Jimi.

Good piece to question.

Yes that is the other Hendrix that was attached to mine and by the way the album was not signed with the cuts i heard it thru a few people and things get mixed up as usual thru the channels. Hendrix signed the two on the paper on that day. The album doesn't look right either to me i had a gut feeling about it glad i don't own it. I believe it was probably a gift to him since they knew he was a big collector and he never purchased signatures for exactly that reason.

The paper is more yellow than the picture i just posted.

Another obviously genuine Hendrix.
