As some of you know, my name is Steve Zarelli and I am an astronaut , cosmonaut and aviation autograph authenticator for RR Auction, JSA, SGC as well as dealers and collectors worldwide. I have been studying Neil Armstrong autographs for over 15 years, and every week I examine multiple Neil Armstrong autographs for one or more of my clients.
I have published a Neil Armstrong Autograph study at my web site, www.ZarelliSpaceAuthentication.com.
My Neil Armstrong study shows multiple exemplars over time and demonstrates how his signature evolved from pre-NASA through when he stopped signing in the 90s. I also have proxy/secretarial examples as well as an overview of some forgery styles from over the years... some quite recent from active forgers.
Stay tuned because I plan on adding additional studies including Gus Grissom, Ed White and maybe more.
Please check out the study when you get a chance and hopefully you find it informative.

great stuff Zipper!
Great work, interesting, and very informative, stored this information, thanks a lot Zipper
Thanks, my biggest regret regarding autographs was selling my naval aviation in space litho. I also had the Easton press 6 book space signed set. I have kept my other Easton press signed astro books. These guys were all true American heroes.
Excellent article Mr. Zipper, great information, well put together with great examples. I don't collect Space items at all and this was still a very enjoyable read.
Great examples, thanks for sharing. I wish I would have purchased one many years ago when the price was obtainable to me.
Thanks for the comments. It is surprising when looking around the web how few true autograph studies there are -- of anyone! So I was happy to add a study in my area of expertise.
Yes, Naval Aviation in Space is a great lithograph and a gold standard in signed prints. Wish I had one.
Thanks again for the study and yeah the print was a great way of getting an authentic Armstrong, I paid 800 for one and sold it to a guy who always bugged me about it for 2 grand when I needed some cash, ugh. Enjoyed the moonpans site, didn't know about them (bit pricey) only knew bout nova space. Like I said real heroes, getting tired of Mickey Mantle.
