My father has several signed balls and letters from Ted Williams, and the signature you have looks the same!

I have a Beatles autograph . . . I had it checked by two of the world's Beatles experts and one said it was definitely athentic and real, the other said it was a fake. I am not sure I would throw your ball out just based on reviews here. Even the experts have trouble some times .
