Why do you want to join Autograph Live?

When my late uncle passed away a briefcase of Navy memorabilia was passed to my mother; when she recently passed the briefcase ended up with me. Included in it are what appear to be ship manifests from different sailings ... not of the crew, but of visitors. It appears as though the ship must have made several sailings with politicians and assorted government officials probably from the Washington Navy Yard. As these are signatures with no printed name, I can't really be certain who these people are ... much less if they are someone "famous". I am hoping that you can help me by suggesting what I should do with these documents to discover as much information as possible into what I have.

Of potential interest is that one of the ships he was on transported FDR and staff from Norfolk to the Yalta conference where they entertained Churchill and Stalin and then went onto the Suez Canal where it entertained the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia. Perhaps there are some interesting signatures from that deployment. There are pictures from that voyage and "itineraries" too, so perhaps some of these manifests do too.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
