The Theme Structures (This is where the 1964  WF Unipshere/globe is now, only that is just 140' feet - this thing rose to 610' all told!).

As far as 1939 World's Fair items go, the item I thought of, the 1939/40 Lucite working Pontiac, sold a few years back for $38,000. Here she is in '39:

Hi David, Hi All, here is what is said to be Babe Ruth's pass to the 1939 NY Fair so he could give lessons at the Academy of Sports and sign those clinic cards David mentioned above:

It should have his name printed on it above his signature. Logic might dictate this is likely a signed blank by another hand. These sort of cards exist in unused condition - so-called "warehouse finds". I can't say I like the presence of the "Instructions" sticker either. All looking very new - old stock. Other opinions? The ink had trouble over the Trylon and Perisphere. What do Ruth folks make of the signature? One look at sellers stock says a LOT!

I had not looked at sellers other items before posting...

I found that card and posted thinking "neat - a connection to David's story" - but good heavens, a "Babe Ruth" signed ball for $100 or Best Offer LOL! Seller has about 2 or 3 "Ruth's"...
