Are you asking for opinions if this is authentic?   Cause if you got Mr. Caiazzo's approval what else do you need?  The staining is pretty major and that will definitely affect the price.

I guess I was just posting for comments. I agree the staining is an issue but I'm hoping the rarity of a signed 1st USA printing will even the playing field. I wonder if there is a service that could clean the stains up? If the answer is yes does the increase in potential value equal the cost of restoration?

The staining would, of course, affect the value, but in my mind, the first printing status would more than make up for the staining.

There are several paper restoration establishments - perhaps look for those that work on photographs, fine art/lithographs etc. and have long reputations. Be sure to ask about stability and guarantee. If you proceed asking for a lit of what was done and how for the next owner would be a good idea.

You can can get a paper conservator to fix that...you'll never know the stains were there.

It will enhance the value...should you decide to sell.

Yes 100% sure. He was at the convention in Toronto and had a deal on where he would look at 3 autographs for a $100. This was one of the items I brought with me. He was quite pleased it was a genuine signature. He was with Peter Miniaci when he went over my 7 items. This book, a 1963 Parlophone promo card and a Four Aces Programme (only John and Paul authentic) got the 100% Ok and 4 other items were not genuine. The book was the last item he looked at after 4 straight no goods.

I've also had Tracks look at it a couple of years ago when I was thinking of selling it and they offered to buy it but the offered price was a bit lower than I expected.

So I have no issues with this signature being genuine.
