Kind of surprised to hear that as this is being offered from a very reputable dealer, one mentioned here as one the of the best (registered UACC also). What dont u like about it?
It appears small and tight looking. Don't like the shape of the J. I have seen this style (with the distinct J) many times and don't have confidence in it.
I don't claim to be a Stewart "expert," but I've been studying and collecting Stewart for many years. In my opinion, there are many Stewart fakes that slip by reputable dealers.
I am not going to flat out state that this is a fake, but my opinion remains that I have doubts about it and it is an example I would avoid.
A larger image would be helpful. There are other members here with good familiarity with James Stewart. I wish they'd weigh in as I'd be curious to see their opinions.
Check out this blog post I did in 2012 and let me know what you think: http://stevezarelli.blogspot.com/2012/07/james-stewart-suspected-fo...
Sure is food for thought. Thanks
