Marilyn Monroe signed flamingo hotel menu Las Vegas real ? fake ?

Does anybody think this Marilyn signature looks real?
The menus from the mid 1950's
It's certified by GFA and AAU
it's being sold by antiquities of California for
850.00 sounds like a good price but i am hesitant.

Hi, can you get the left side of that, and the back page bottom and reverse cover? Any printers information? Sometimes there is a small date like 8/57 or whatever. Also any ads might help assign a date. I have read it is early 1960's but can not substantiate that. The 2% State Sales Tax means it is certainly after the 1955 tax bill was passed from what I am reading - that was sometimes in the middle of 1955.

But it has sales tax? That would have to be be after mid 1955 then, no?

All I got from that is that the menu is certainly after 1953 - but that could be said of 1955 and 1961. The tax info - it seems there was no sales tax until after mid 1955 - you finding this?

Perhaps start looking for postcards that share the same graphics as the menu - often the theme carries over - you might find a dated example. But even if the menu is 1955/56, you still have the bulk of Pauline's observations about the signature. What are the dimensions of this menu?

Well, there is a nice real cheque for sale at Julien's right now, can't wrong with a cheque I would think: Time, date, more than just a signature. Estimated $2K

1960 Marilyn Monroe Signed Cheque

Hi Pauline,

Obviously, I do not think this autographs is genuine, but it is an interesting conversation. From what I can see, with the state tax being charged it appears it has to be after mid 1955. Any comment on the signature being crammed into that space on the cover instead of somewhere in all that white space on the inside of the menu - on the left under Pearlie Mae's  "ad"? Where would you expect this Monroe to have signed?

The menu is obviously old and kinda cool. People love to collect old casino stuff. Probably had some collecting value until somebody scribbled on it.
Yes, looks like a nice vintage menu that was defaced
