Read the entire thread Steve linked and Adam has suggested with an eye to logic, like...oh...Mr. Spock. ;)
Matt, what is your opinion of the Nimoys posted here now? It is obvious Mr. Nimoy signed totally differently for Mr. Duncan, alone, and regularly. What other explanation could there be? I have no idea. I'm not that...creative...
I am just asking questions and making valid observations (and not alone), expressing my own opinions.... What do you see in those Nimoys?
This is why I didn't even really want to go here! I am curious about these certs. Are they PSA/JSA Roger E? I don't think Mr. Duncan has the largest collection out there. There is quite a few big guns out there like John Brennan.
My collection is FAR from the biggest, the best, the most complete, or anything like that whatsoever. Its one mans collection who was and still is lucky enough to meet some RR'ers that he has grown up listening to for almost 50 years on the radio and later in life in concert.
Its a fun and honest collection, nothing much more.
I personally have had several Eagles items from Stephen authenticated by PSA/JSA and Roger. After some buying and selling to trade up, I have four Eagles items remaining. All four approved by Roger. Two by PSA, and one I never submitted for a letter after Roger initially approved. That particular one has, in my opinion, the very best set of signatures of the four pieces. I was just anxious to get it framed and on my wall so didn't care about a letter. I have also had some rejected by PSA. After studying the signatures of this group on my own, my opinion today is that the rejections have more to do with the inconsistent nature of PSA's process than with the authenticity of the items. The pic here is of a European greatest hits signed by all 7 members. This is PSA and Roger approved, with letters. The On The Border LP is the one I never submitted to anyone after Roger approved initially and with the exception of the rather shorthand Glenn Frey, which is typical, is the best set I own.
Christopher,
The two albums you just posted look great to me. They don't have the strange Henleys and Freys that I'm concerned about.
Please feel free to upload all 22.
Here are two comparison compilations of Stephen Duncan Don Henley autographs from his rockandrollcollection.com website that I put together a year or so ago.
The ones on the beige background are ones I'm concerned about, and the same on both compilations.
The ones on the black background are ones that I feel are likely genuine. They are different on both compilations.
Just some images...click for full. The only "Nimoy's" that match are from Mr. Duncan - all said to be IP. Well, I met Nimoy on a several more social occasions too, we chatted, exchanged Vulcan greetings, spoke of the effect of this role on his marriage as he'd stay in character over the weekend...and he signed. Nothing like the last one there though. How odd.
This Bowie photo is DATED 1995 - how could it be signed in 1990 when he was not even with that label? Would you forget being in an elevator with Mr. Bowie? I'd NOT.
"....Meanwhile, my website and collection thrives..........." - S.D.
Is that the measure? I'm trying to learn here.. .ahem.
