May I ask which "collectible house" issued that COA?

Reputable Las Vegas collectible house?

The Art of Music Management? Wonder how they became experts in Ledger sigs. Might want to have this checked out and get opinions from many in it. Posted here I'm sure you will.

Does that look anything like Bale's signature?

That's what I mean. That looks completely off. Ledger too for that matter. These are relatively novice opinions, but these don't look like they have a chance. Ledger did not sign tons of Joker stuff before his death, and, as I recall, the only things he did sign were a handful of early promo pics.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't think this is even more a second look.

You've heard a lot. Who'd you hear it all from? The folks that sold you the poster? His signatures weren't that varied. The Bale isn't even close either.

I'm wondering did they both take a minute to move all the autograph seekers back out of the way, spread the poster out real nice across a table, take a seat with a fresh sharpie, sign the neatest autographs they've ever signed that don't match their regular signatures and neatly rolled it back up for the autograph hound? Damn, I never get that lucky.

PM,

I've never heard of a gallery in Las Vegas called The Art of Music Management. I do know The Art of Music, which is a well-known gallery in Las Vegas, at the Mirage and later Mandalay Bay as well. But from what I've seen, I don't consider them a reliable seller of autographs.

I'm not as good as Pete on Heath Ledger, but the one on that poster doesn't look similar to any I've seen. Here are a couple of examples:

I figured the "Management" part was just something on the standard Art of Music "COA" from Mandalay Bay, and it is. I just saw one online with a quick search. PM - I suggest you look into this source and consider recourse. They have odd terms so it won't be easy as you will read.

PM, these autographs are simply not genuine, source aside, in my opinion. With just the "Ledger", there are very obvious form and structural problems...the baseline, slant, curves/loops, relationships, ...the legibility of the "Ledger"...

How do I go about challenging their reputability the right way? I've never done such a thing?

Well, I am sorry this happened to you. I suggest you first read the terms very carefully to see your rights and whatever else they stuck in there. Then come here and use the AML search engine and read all you can about people who have been in your situation. If memory serves, some have prevailed. They might want you to get several authenticators they like to write a letter or some such nonsense, I don't recall the specifics of their craziness.

How much does it cost to get authenticated officially to disprove their authenticity? Also why would they do this and sell fake signatures and back them with a certificate?

You may find that certificate and the terms to be less than helpful, the other answer might be easy to guess. I would not waste any money on authentication - I would read the terms and read the threads here and see what others have done in your situation - as I said some have prevailed as I recall.

It is not 100% that these autographs are forged though right?
