Steve Grad is the lead autheticator at Beckett. If you are telling me her Potter piece wouldnt sell better with a Beckett sticker and and LOA on it which means any potential buyer can type in the sticker number and get a picture of the auto in question on their site for life, instead choosing the 'ok' of someone who isn't proven in that field, unless you are talking about someone like Pete Chuka who is accepted as a third party SME on Harrison Ford for example then I think your deluded.

Yeah that's it.....I'm deluded. I know who Steve Grad is. Thanks for catching me up. I see the errors these "experts" including Grad make everyday. Sure his sticker may help sell anything. Sticker doesn't automatically make the signature authentic. It either is or it isn't. If you are a beginning buyer and you use your thinking you are going to end up on the short end of a lot of deals....but you'll have a grip of stickers.

I do not consider buying anything that has been vandalized with a horrid sticker and fully maxed out in value like certified signature. I buy raw in the wild and do my own authentication.

Best thing i've read on the internet all month! Love it! So true.

I do have an LOA Terry

Listen Jennifer, i'm just trying to help you out here. Everyone has an opinion. I am no expert whatsoever on signatures hence the Bladerunner project I have been working on for the last two months (12 signatures on index cards) which have all now passed Beckett authentication with LOA from Steve Grad himself. What i'm trying to say is, from a sellers point of view your LOA is only as good as the person who signed it and to a potential buyer spending possibly thousands of pounds they are going to want more than 'X said it was ok from autograph magazine' you need something tangible UNLESS it's someone proven, like Pete Chuka but notice Chuka only puts his seal on things he can be 100% on like Ford autos. I am just trying to help you get the most from your sale on ebay and have nothing else to say.

in my humble opin a coa from usa wouldnt increase the price a lot anyway because the Rowling market is quite specialised anway.  The price of absorbing the add ons like insurance, wretched custom duties x 2 etc.... would push the price of Jennifer's book to the maximum a dedicated fan would pay and there are quite a lot of signed copies of this particular book around anyway. Just my penny worth...........

What makes them professionals? Cause they say they are? There are collectors out there that are better authenticating this then any of these three companies.

Looks perfect.
