Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Bob Marley, Bowie, AC/DC - what do you think?

Just saw this auction, which takes place in the UK on 8 May.

There seems to be a suspiciously remarkable range of top quality stuff - I assume too good to be true, particularly as the certificates are not shown and the estimates for some things like signed LPs look far too low (e.g. Hendrix, Bob Marley, AC/DC, Bowie).

In particular, what do people think of these? I have more doubts about some (e.g. Marley and Hendrix) than others but all seem rather clean.

If all the items are from a single collection I would have thought the auction house would make a big thing of this.

The zeppelin and stones sets are pathetic.these auction houses dont care what they consign anymore.As long as they can make a buck,they are turning a blind eye.

The prices realised (before buyer's premium etc.) for the items illustrated above were:

Rolling Stones: £1,000

Led Zeppelin: £800

Jimi Hendrix: £900

David Bowie: Passed

AC/DC: £220

Obviously the last two items were not believed but as regards the others, oh dear!

Did anyone, by chance, see the signed Led Zeppelin LP cover brought in to "Pawn Stars"? Steve Grad was brought in to authenticate the signatures, which were authentic. What spoiled the set was that Jimmy Page had signed on the cover, while the others signed on the back. The seller wanted $22,000. Grad appraised it at $10,000 to $12,000. "Pawn Stars" weren't able to seal the deal.

That was an old rerun.it was worth more than Steve said it was probably 15k if on all one side closer to 20k

While I know next to nothing about autograph values, I thought the appraised price was a bit on the light side.

I'd be curious to know if that item ever sold.

I stand corrected:

On page one, when evaluating the fake Bowie's (which thankfully did not sell) I commented: I have not seen David Bowie write his name out in full since the end of 1972 start of 1973 which is the first red light.

Yesterday, this gem came onto the market - very rare and worth sharing with Bowie fans...
