Hello,

I purchased an autographed Madonna Vanity Fair magazine cover from the Erotica era. It comes with the JSA LOA but  I was just wonder what your opinions on it are and if you could possibly send examples of your Madonna’s so I can compare them! I have been comparing her signatures all day and would say it’s 110% authentic but I love second opinions!

Yes in theory at the start I am sure it looked good on paper and they were providing a service.....but ebay and other auction sites have made everything a big business.....and a counter product of that was the escalation of their services!!!!

Here look a example of the fakers handywork….(IMAGE 1)

and my own real one of the very same promo photo  Love and kisses  (Image 2)

Kamran,

Could you please post similar examples to your Love and Kisses autograph?

I did have concerns about this Vanity Fair cover.  As I noted earlier in this discussion, I thought the “donna” part had tendencies of Madonnas that Kamran had noted were fake.  I felt a little better after Roger gave it a thumbs up, but Kamran’s Madonna knowledge reigns supreme!

Brandon, I saw that your seller offered a 30-day return policy.  I would contact him and see about returning it.  It’s too much money to invest in a fake.  I know this news sucks, but at least you’re not past the return period.

As for Heritage, I’ve been looking through some of their past sales, and Madonna’s not the only concern.  I’ve seen several of their Michael Jackson autographs that I wouldn’t  trust either.

The Michael Jackson situation has become an absolute joke across all auction sites and auction houses......This would have been repeated with his Purple highness Prince...but his handwriting was soo eloquent fakers just cannot do it...I don't even want to imagine the Madonna fiasco if the worst was to happen..its bad enough now!

Now when we have heard how common forgeries or secretarials are on Madonnas autographs, what is your opinion on this one?

fake

Thank you for your reply. That means that Madonna was using her personal assistant or someone real close to her to sign this autograph.

It also means she did the same for the hotel guestbook on the blond ambition tour.

Was this one you were suspecting, Bjarne?

The more I have seen, the more unsure I have got.

yes her pa's also sign on her behalf..they take items in from people outside hotels etc etc and sign the items themselves and give them to the waiting fans..just so they go away.....in the early 2000's her manager started doing this practice too!!!! to the extent of even signing 1st day issue certificates for her 2000 cd release 'MUSIC'.....HMV Oxford street London had 1st 175 people to buy the new cd got a signed certificate by Madonna...fans queued all night...and all the 175 items were signed by her manager!!!!…
