As in order to sell on the Buy and Sell page it states you have to seek authentication in this thread first.

Great example, Invest_In_Graphs. I find this discussion quite interesting. I do see the differences in the original signed photo and this one. Although, to my untrained eye they both appear to be signed by the same hand with normal variances.

My question would be, if the original signed photo in question is not genuine, someone has dedicatedly practiced it, for what reason? Would we not find more of these out there?

I know there are a number of very experienced members here who have studied Paul and the other Beatles extensively. Hopefully some others will chime in.

Assuming it was signed in 2013, he was well into his "Paul McC" phase at that point. The fact that it's more complete would point to it being signed in a calm environment and/or for someone special.

It was signed with a chisel-point marker that affects the way things are signed and it was clearly and carefully signed--whether it's real or not!

I think it's real and I got an Elvis wrong last night. No way I could get 2 autographs wrong in a day... It must be good.

Jimbo, you mentioned a photo taken shortly after signing. Do you have it?

Would the friend who got it signed be able to join the discussion?

This puts you in a tough spot, Jimbo. You have some top notch members who believe your Macca is genuine. You have some top notch members who believe it may not. You need a referee. Perhaps getting a quick opinion from Roger Epperson will help. I believe even when members disagree with Roger they still respect his credentials. Don't give up yet. A couple years ago I owned a McCartney which drew a lot of varying opinions here although Roger gave it a thumbs up and someone here bought it. I would, at least before you try to sell it anywhere, get it looked at by somebody for your peace of mind as well.

I’ll take your advice Joe.  In order to sell it now I may need a full certificate rather than a Quick Opinion.

One for the learning curve I think :-).

As I said, I didn't mean to rock the boat. I thought my contribution would help; it may have hurt. I apologize for that.

It’s fine Invest.  Everyone here is entitled to an opinion.  No worries.

Rock the boat! Always feel free to say what you think.
