Hello… we are in the process of “ebaying” our collections, including a boatload of autographs.  I’ve tried to do my own research on these forums and elsewhere but I still have some TTM signatures from the late ‘70s/early ‘80s that I’m not 100% sure about and would very much appreciate your comments and opinions.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to look.

Robert Redford – this seems to compare favorably with a personal check image that Steve posted on another thread, copied here.

Jack Nicholson – this doesn’t look like any contemporary, more recent signatures except perhaps for the “N”

Al Pacino – I don’t know about this one either.

Thank you, Steve

No to Nicholson. Sorry.

Thanks much, Eric.  That one looked a bit 'unimpressive'.

The Redford is genuine, IMO.

Thanks Joe.... This is why we're here.  I would rather throw something away than rip someone off.  That would never be my intention.  I appreciate your feedback.

Agree, no on Nicholson.

Thank you Steve.  Jack has been dispatched to the "circular file cabinet".

as a collector of pacino i see no problems with this autograph ''especialy the first part of the autograph you posted looks good to me'' the end of the autograph is new to me.

Thank you Rob!  I know he can be difficult, but as you are experienced with him and think this may have a chance - that's good news!

two times no to nicholson but at this moment there is a nicholson on ebay.com signed the same way and selling as genuine. and as you should know his signings changed a lot from his beginning till now. but many sellers have fakes and secretarials and don't know how a real one looks like. have seen the one you posted many times so guess it's not a fake but possible secretarial.keep searching because you'll never know?.

Thank you again, Rob.  You're right - sometimes we never know. I am not familiar with his signature from the late '70s and haven't seen contemporary examples, but they may be out there somewhere.  In the meantime, I'll trust opinions offered on these forums by others with more expreience.  And you're right, there are a lot of bad autographs on ebay - that's why - if I have questions - I'm trying to get some confirmations on a few things before I list them.

Hi Steve,

Here is typical Nicholson 1975 from my collection:

Thank you for sharing your '70s signature.  That is very helpful.  Further confirmation that the one I posted is most likely secretarial.  I sincerely appreciate you input!
