Just saw this signed Marlon Brando letter up for sale. Apocalypse Now is one of my favorite movie.
Thinking about it !!!!! ;)
An 8.2 x 11.6 inch letter from Brando himself to Francis Ford Coppola’s lawyers on March 1, 1976.
Brando accepts Coppola’s contract.
He agrees to take on the role of Kurtz.
He promises to: “Undertake and agree to do and perform each and every term, covenant, condition and act which I may be called upon to perform pursuant thereto.”
You wonder if these words echoed in Coppola’s mind, months into the shoot.
To the bottom right you’ll see Brando has signed in blue ink.

"Make a deal for us all!" ;) Incredibly rich and textured item!!!
A piece of film history for sure . . . but now I kind of want to see the full contract, because I think there's no way Brando actually fulfilled it as written.
LOL I'd like to see as well! Film history - well put! Amazing item!
Incredible. Thanks for sharing, J. Seah.
That's a killer piece from one of my favorite movies, too.
Great movie! And great autograph.
Apparently, the studio was pissed he showed up bald for the start of filming.

I am sure you've seen the documentary about all this - it is superb. Brando did make this film. I have a 1966 Sheen album page and a nice b/w original still of him w/Kurtz. :) Which way are you leaning? :D I mean, are you going all the way down this river? All the way? Past Do Lung??
What did it bring and where?
Hi Steve! It was sold for about $6300 by a dealer in the UK.
:( So very sorry to hear. "...Never get out of the boat! Hi tiger, bye tiger!!!"
