Hi there,
Hope I might be able to get some advice.
I am interested to find out what this Album with Bob Dylan's signature would be valued at in todays prices?
Just to provide some provenance I actually worked at Columbia Records in Sydney (CBS) from 1985 til the early 90's and obtained this album while I was working there.
I was head of the promotions team.
Bob Dylan toured Australia in February 1986 and signed a number of copies on this tour while Bob was in Sydney.
Ive had the album ever since.
The vinyl incidentally has never been anywhere near a turntable so it's unplayed!
Anyway, I am very interested to get any feedback or comments after reading particularly on this site that a genuine Dylan signature on an album is a rarity.
Cheers.

I edited your post to add the photos (for visibility) we are no longer using the attachments for photos per group rules. Thanks!
Thank you, Adam!
Thanks very much Adam!
ParkersBand,
I'm in shock! We hear stories like this all the time about someone working for a major label and getting autographs from top rare artists: The Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Dylan, The Doors...you name it.
I can't think of one time that the autographs looked real. Even had a shot of being real.
Your Dylan looks as real as it gets! That's my opinion at least.
As for value, I'd say USD $5,000+. Could bring much more.
Hi Steve,
Thanks very much for taking the time to provide your advice - its very much appreciated.
Its interesting to understand value.
I had no idea that Bob's signature is so much in demand.
Cheers.
US $5,000-ish is what a typical one would bring at auction. I wouldn't be surprised to see yours sell for $7,500+ in a good auction.
Hi Steve,
Interestingly I can see on eBay a couple of albums for sale for USD6,250.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bob-Dylan-Signed-Album-The-Freewheelin-...
Bob Dylan signed album, ''The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan'', his second album that earned him ''Spokesman of a Generation'' for the political nature of the songs including ''Blowin' in the Wind'' and ''A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall''. This album also marked Dylan's transition to writing nearly all his own compositions. Measures 12.25'' square. Album is from the stock of Bob Dylan's manager Jeff Rosen and Bob Dylan. Near fine condition. With COAs by both Jeff Rosen and Roger Epperson.
There are also 4 other signed albums on offer from the same seller.
''Highway 61 Revisited''
''Bringing It All Back Home''
''Blood on the Tracks''
''The Times They Are A-Changin'''
Do you think this is normal for Bobs manager to be offering signed albums on eBay?
Seems weird to me?
Cheers.
Apologies!
The seller is not actually Bobs manager its https://natedsanders.com
I believe that Nate Sanders is selling some of them for the manager. Dylan signed albums used to be much more expensive before Dylan's manager started selling them. Jeff Rosen is, or was, also selling handwritten lyrics. They started off selling for six figures. I'm not sure where they are now.
Your signed album is 30 or so years old, with a great example of Dylan's signature, perfectly placed and large, too. If you decide you want to sell it, take your time. Who you offer it to and how you sell it can make a huge difference in price.
Thanks again for your insight Steve.
You clearly have a lot of knowledge here so I do appreciate your comments.
Amazing how this album has been with me for all of this time and I really had no idea of the rarity.
I think Im a bit blasé due to all of the years I spent in the music business!
You get this way after being in the industry for so long.
Incidentally, my dad actually owned 6 record stores in Sydney as well from 1969-1991 so I have had music in my life for a long time.
Cheers.
