It seems the trend today is shying away from matting autographs. My personal favorite aspect of this hobby is to create a matted piece to highlight my autographs. I mat these myself and enjoy the opportunity to create these pieces. Nothing fancy.  Are there any other matters out there? If so, I would love to see some of your work.

Here is one of my favorite pieces. An early Pretenders set of signature, obtained from a fellow member here matted with a photo I found to start things off.

Wonderful presentations, Cogo!

A Beatles set that I had a matt cut to fit a Capital Plastics holder.  I mounted the autograph page with group photo on the front and added another group photo for the back of the holder.

Amazing, Martin! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the fun thread, Joe W.  I have most of my items matted and framed.  It is fun to see what resonates with different people who see them on the wall.

One of my favorite displays is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".  The sheet music is signed by Albert Hague.  Boris Karloff was the voice of the Grinch, June Foray was the voice of Cindy Loo Who, and Thor Ravenscroft sang the song (perhaps better known as the voice of Tony the Tiger).  Each piece was acquired separately so I hope they are all authentic.  However, it was a fun treasure hunt to collect the pieces and create the display.

I previously posted the Boris Karloff on this forum and it seems to be legit.  I also found an image of Albert Hague doing a mass signing of the sheet music (see below).  The cards were bought on eBay from a seller who claimed to have interviewed Thor Ravenscroft and June Foray as a local radio personality.  Would appreciate any opinions regarding authenticity of these items.

Beardog, I really LIKE your matted piece. I'm sure it gets noticed right off when someone walks into the room. From my experience, a fine matted piece is a conversation starter and it's a great way to share your passion with others. I wish I could offer you an authenticity opinion but don't know the autographs enough to say so. But, I sure admire the presentation. Fine job!

Thank you, Joe W.  I grew up watching the Grinch every Christmas.  This display was a fun treasure hunt for me.  I appreciate your kind words.

Thank you for starting this thread.  I agree that a good presentation makes for a fun conversation starter.  I enjoy seeing what others have in their collection and seeing how it is displayed is a fun part of the hobby.
