Hi,

I bought this signed first edition of Moon Walk from Ira & Larry Goldberg Auctioneers (USA) recently.  Apparently it was signed for the guy who designed some of the figures on MJ's carrousel at Neverland (his ownership stamp is also present).

Any thoughts on authenticity and value?

Secretarial

Is that definite?  I will need to ask for a refund!

I think Wascher is right, sorry.

OK.

Can you give me some pointers as to why it is secretarial?  Something I can take back to the auction house to reclaim my $600!

The Goldbergs are good people. I don't think you'll have a problem getting a refund with a some evidence like you're asking for.

Probably the best evidence will be secretarially signed Michael Jackson photos that are known to be almost exclusively signed secretarially. I can find some for you in a few hours if Wascher doesn't have some handy.

Thank you!

I have collected autographs for 40 years.  Maybe it's time to call it a day.  There are too many forgeries.

David,

It's a lot easier to figure out what's genuine today than it was even not that many years ago. Just check into authenticity before you buy.

+1

David,

Let's focus on the handwriting instead of the signatures. That will be easier to identify than signatures. Here are a couple of links to genuine handwritten lyrics by Michael Jackson:

Some authentic inscriptions to compare with and autographs with them.

Now keep in mind, others may have different opinions on these here, but I agree with Wascher.
