Thank you to @Dan Morris and @Gregory for their help with the Monty Python "Meaning of Life" cast-signed photo in my previous post.  Although not authentic, I am grateful the dealer honored his COA and provided a refund despite the purchase being twenty years ago.

My other Monty Python item is the below SIG set (missing Graham Chapman) displayed with the "chase" cards from The Holy Grail collector card set.  These signatures look more consistent with the SIG set shared in my previous post by @alan david munns (noting the Michael Palin is definitely a different style).  These signatures were acquired through multiple sellers on eBay so it is quite possible some may be authentic while others are not.

Please share opinions and comments on this set.  Thank you in advance to everyone on this forum who share their experience and knowledge.

I like them all other than the Palin.  Looks off to me.

Thank you Matt Wisdom.  The Palin definitely does not look like his "symbol" looking signature.  Not sure if this was an earlier style or if it is just not his signature. The others looked good to me as well but I was also questioning the Palin most.

Appreciate you sharing your comments.

Thanks  :-))

Eric Idle, TerryJones, Terry Gilliam are all definitely authentic IMO. The Palin is also real and I remember he signed like the example for a while with an over stated P. The Cleese I don't like but maybe it's just me but it looks slowly written with stop-starts and shaky.

Really nice display. Only one I think may not be genuine is the Cleese because it looks far too slowly written as Dan points out

Thank you @Dan Morris and @Michelle.  Appreciate the confirmation on the SIGs including clarification on Michael Palin signature style.  Sounds like the John Cleese may still be questionable but still feel better about the feedback you all have provided.

Also, thank you Michelle for the compliment on the display.  This was a fun treasure hunt in finding the SIGs and then matching them with the Holy Grail cards.  I tried to find a Graham Chapman for a long time to try and complete the set but got too eager to get this framed.  In retrospect, I wish I would have waited but I still like the way the set is displayed.

As always, appreciate everyone on this forum who share their knowledge and experience.  Thank you.

I'm interested to see more Palin ones of that era with that style and overall flow.  Has anyone got any?

PS - cleese signs the slowest of them, so I don't have suspicions re his.  Palin is at the other end of the spectrum with that.   Interested to see exemplars with the style of the first example.

Sorry, disagree. Cleese is not typical at all, very slow even for him, shaky and stop-start. For me, this one is not real or close and is probably traced or slowly copied and has zero flow

I will have a look once out of lockdown in approx 2 weeks and I can access the vault. The style is not that abnormal and I've seen a lot of these over the years

I must admit, when  I try to go closer on them on my pc, the definition isn't that great.  RE cleese,  I'm only going on what I see here, and compared to the ones I have got in person.  If you have a very good eye re someone tracing, etc, perhaps you're right.    Palin the same, never got one similar to that, and never seen one like it online etc.    I hope we are each wrong in certain respects and the chap got 5 good pieces right away  :-)))))

Any luck,  Dan?
