I agree The management is signing them

Yeah bragging rights or promotional reasons plus money. They can say the artist has 10 number one albums, or whatever... They all want to be the top selling artists of all time, most #1 singles, etc. Plus the money. I bet of the tens of thousands sold, probably 1-5% get returned. Most are just clueless fans who think they got an autograph from their favorite artist.

I've also read something about physical album sales are weighted more heavily on the charts, so since most people dont listen to cds they know they can still sell a ton of physical copies by sending then with an autograph someone on staff signed, who probably makes 10 bucks an hour. So that's a big win.

Throw a couple real ones in, and post video and pics on social media of the artist signing and 99% of people think they're real.

Really sad, I don't think you need to buy autographs from great artists. Except these are limited to 100 or 1000. Sad that the industry is kidding people.

The other point is These are arriving with People all over the World all at the same time, which is odd as if they were Signed By Lady Gaga In the US - then the US would get them first followed by the rest of the world in stages and not all at the same time - getting them all at the same time shows me that each Webstore in the US/UK/ France / Canada / Germany / Australia all had their own Teams Busily Signing away so they could post them all out around the release date.

I don’t understand your logic here as it makes zero sense.

If some of these are real she will have been signing them for a few months and then shipped to each country before sending them out.

It makes sense to me!

I really can't see her signing 1k let alone 50k-100k of these for months in advance at all!

If she had been then they would look similar  - and not  totally different - only one reason why they look like they have been signed by different people .....

I also wonder if the artists don't care because see so many pop up on eBay (I bet 30-50% if not more end up on eBay by resellers). So they just consider it ripping off autograph hounds/resellers, who most artist tend to hate... since they're probably the main ones who are going to know if they're real or fake. Casual fans that arent into autographs in general won't realize it.

I have received my bundle including the ‘signed’ art card. It may well have been mentioned before but the despatch note included, which would often be used a COA, lists the four items in the bundle without mention of the card being signed/autographed. It just says ‘Chromatica Art Card’.  This means that Universal can point to this and say that it was never described as being signed should anyone try to have a go at them.

More evidence, in my opinion, that these are not genuine unfortunately.

Sometimes I don’t get people’s logic on here. You have a email that states SIGNED art card, you can go on the website and take a screen grab of what you brought. So how exactly would Universal be able to say these were never hand signed because the receipt doesn’t say that? Coz trust me I have confirmation email that says signed product.

Nope, my confirmation email makes no mention of it being signed. Yes, the website says ‘autographed’ but doesn’t clarify by whom! I fully accept that yours says ‘signed’.

My money is on that the signature on the art card I received is unlikely to be genuine. Much as I would love it to not be the case.

I did check my email and you are actually correct it  does not  state signed so I stand corrected. But I also got a email from them saying “Lady Gaga would be signing my cds” and of course they may be lying but certainly that proves this isn’t some trick on their  part and they are simply playing with words.

Sorry if I missed something, this discussion has become very long and hard to follow.

You guys might've already said this, but I assume you guys purchased yours from one of the non-US stores?

I bought from the US store, and my order confirmation lists:

"Chromatica Digital Album," "Chromatica CD," and "Signed CD Booklet" as three distinct items, so I'm not sure why other stores might've done it differently.
