Thank you for your input Adam.
Authentic yes, quality no. The rest - weren't (I think of one Keith Richards). You posted a lot of forgeries in the last 5 years (I think of just the Bowie's) and some genuine with damage (not just stickers). Look at your last Genesis posting. Chunk missing out of the right corner, removed store sticker residue upper right (nearly fatal) and that darn sticker lower right. An unholy Trinity thatb will impact. As for quality - look at your last Steve Winwood "SW" posting. Better quality can be had. You seem predicated to make excuses for bad sellers. There was the guy that lied to you outright, provably, and you still gave him the benefit of the doubt. I recall a seller whose proof pic showed an album with sticker damage and the one you bought (I believe) did not have that damage shown in what was an actual proof photo. Different items. Same as with the 11x14's. They are almost always cropped enlarged copy prints. No intrinsic value and often degraded in appearance - overly contrasted etc. 11x14 is just a money grab, apart from Golden Hollywood.
Remember, the very last Bowie you asked me about in recent weeks - fakE. From a seller of "problem" certified Bowies. seller= S N Y d e 2 who I have warned you about. Most stuff is fake Nicky. True - with an experienced eye you can find gems in junk - but rarely. $49 Bowie's...etc.
Eric,
You doubt EVERY autograph I've shown you to be truly genuine. It's either that or it has bad placement or the ink is no good or it was too expensive. I love my autographs. As long as they're authentic. I do look for something with quality. That Brian Jones autopgraphed display I own, you were steadfast in telling me it's a fake, well guess what, it's genuine. I have looked at and compared that signature to so many Brian Jones autographs from here on Autogjraphs Live by typing his name in and bingo 6, 7 or 8 pages of Brian Jones autographs appear from collectors like us from all over and I studyied them carefully including Roger Epperson's piece who by the way has told me himself my signatured Brian Jones was "fine." I know because I bought his "quick opinion" for $10.00 and it was well worth it...
Why did the seller of the Jones lie to you several times? It was pointed out by others as well.
I only go by what you show me. A quick opnion is not a full exam.
Alright, so I made a mistake on David's signature; but that's because he has a "tricky" signature to authenticate Eric.
What are you talking in referance to, my Peter Gabriel autograph? It's beautiful and I love it.
From Davidbowieautograph.com where I have contributed.
"...
My last evaluation of a global auction website showed that of the 837 Bowie autographs that were being offered for sale on the UK and US editions of the site, only 20 were genuine, the rest of the signatures having been signed by A.Forger Esq... ..."
That says it all.
You always say to me "how can you tell" and "maybe he signed differently" and "no one can forge a signature"...
1) Rather easily.
2) "Signed differently" opens a lot of room for forgery.
3) Yes, skilled people can and do forge convincing autographs.
Oh, you can't buy from Global, not anymore. And certainly not since Roger Epperson left them.
