Walter Payton: Sweetness? ...or sour?

Been halfway looking for a Walter Payton, and this one sort of fell in my lap.  Is it real?

Thanks for the input.  Forgers don’t generally personalize their counterfeits, but thought I’d ask to be sure.

Before I change my name to Troy, is there any way to safely remove the personalization?  And is that frowned upon since technically I’m altering the signature?
