In the 80's when I was in college I'd drag this guitar to shows and get signatures. The first band to sign was the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Unfortunately I only had a ball point so most of those sigs are unreadable (Years later I was able to get Jimmy Vaughn and Preston Hubbard to sign when the T-birds toured through Milwaukee again) Anyway, most of these signatures were gotten at a club called Century Hall on the east side of Milwaukee, some were at UW-Milwaukee shows, and some at SummerFest. There are well known names some relatively unknown but amazing sidemen mostly from Chicago. Ok. Here is a list of the people who signed:

    • Stevie Ray Vaughan
    • Jimmie Vaughan
    • Johnny Winter
    • JJ Cale
    • Bonnie Raitt
    • Elvin Bishop
    • Donald "Duck" Dunn
    • Robert Cray
    • Lonnie Mack
    • Albert Collins
    • Mighty Joe Young
    • Tommy Shannon
    • Chris Layton
    • Adrian Belew
    • Rob Fetters
    • Bob Bear (Nyswonger)
    • Christian J. Arduser
    • Abb Locke
    • Chuck Williams
    • Johnny B. Gaydon
    • Gabriel ????

Anyone have any idea what I should list this for to sell? Thinking on putting it on Reverb.com. It sits under the bed. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for your input.

The guitar itself is a Modified 1973 Fender Stratocaster.

That is quite a collection of signatures, with SRV making it particularly valuable.  I would think about putting it in one of the major auctions, like Heritage, or possibly RR.

Todd:

I am quite familiar with the names on this signed guitar and am damn impressed. Some of the signatures have worn over time, which will impact value some but the collection of signatures on the guitar is quite amazing to a hard core Blues fan. Drop me a direct message via AML and I will offer a few thoughts on where to take this get it properly appraised, authenticated (I am confident in what I see) -- a necessary evil for 3rd party sale, and then put out to the proper audience.
