For the Norman Lear, be careful. Last time he did a “signing,” it was a rubber stamp due to his age.
Thanks, I’m gonna probably pick one up on the secondary market and be able to tell. I’m just happy to know this exists as I was unaware.
Got shipping notice for the Norman Lear book. They noted:
“Also, we are very grateful to Norman Lear -- who at 99 -- graciously took the time to sign each of these books. They have all shipped this morning via USPS, so expect to receive in 5-7 days.”
Fingers crossed that they’re signed and not stamped! At 99, I would understand if he stamped them but not necessarily for the price!
I bailed on this because I couldn’t get a straight answer from them if he was going to actually sign them or not. I’d be interested to know is he hand signed them when you get it.
Sure, I’ll try to post here when it arrives. I decided to take a chance as would be really cool (and worth it) if he actually signed them.
Thanks, man! I jumped back onto a waiting list to buy the ticket for the virtual show and the book. If this is hand signed it’s very desirable as there aren’t many AITF items authentically signed by Lear.
Right, that’s what I was thinking. I have a small collection of tv stuff based on some of my major likes/interests and this definitely belongs in it!
Good luck on possibly getting one, I took the email as a good sign that they’re signed but you never know.
Awesome, looks good to me too but still waiting on mine to arrive! Thanks for sharing!
Yep, hand signed! Nice piece. I was able to get a slot on the waiting list to get the book. Looking forward to it.
I know its not yet time for the official press release to come out, but I really thought more of the B&N BFSEs would have shown up on their website by now.
The only listed ones so far seem to be:
Carpenters: Musical Legacy by Lennox, May, and Richard Carpenter
Something by Katherine Applegate (either Willodeen or The One and Only Ivan)
You Can't Be Serious by Kal Penn
Out of My Heart by Sharon M. Draper
and Tom seemed pretty adamant about The Storyteller by Dave Grohl and Will by Will Smith
And based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever, my guesses are: Unguarded by Scottie Pippen, KG by Kevin Garnett, Marcus Makes a Movie by Kevin Hart, 1000 Years of Joys and Sorrows by Ai Weiwei, and maybe In the Heights by Miranda, Out of Many, One by Bush or 1619 Project by Hannah-Jones.
