Hi,

Can someone tell me their opinion of this Eric Clapton signed item? Based on the sellers other auctions and my limited knowledge I thought this looked good, but it failed Beckett Quick Opinion.

Thanks,

Anytime :)

Hi All,

I requested the charity get a letter from Eric Clapton's team stating the autograph was authentic. I was supplied the attached letter from M.C.A. Eaton, Eric Clapton's business manager stating the autograph is authentic. Im curious is this changes anyones opinions of this item.

A few other notes:

1) Here are other auctions from the same charity:

Ed Sheehan - https://www.ebay.com/itm/125049734447?hash=item1d1d8b852f:g:S-UAAOS... - certainly looks legit to me compared to the art cards he's been selling this year.

Paul McCartney - https://www.ebay.com/itm/125048605200?hash=item1d1d7a4a10:g:RCsAAOS... - based on the price and they didn't even put the signature on the item as it will be signed and personalized after the fact

Other items: https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_f...

Doesn't appear to be a bunch of forgeries?

2) Doesn't the signed blu ray look like the way he signed for Soundwaves? Look at the piece recently listed on eBay, which is certainly legit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/334281713876?hash=item4dd4be28d4:g:mowAAOS...

3) The price, while yes this is an extremely good deal for an authentic Eric Clapton autograph, and that raises red flags, he is going through a bit to a down moment in his history (not the first time) where a lot of people are not going to be particularly interested in collecting items due to his current reputation. Plus its a signed blu ray which no one really specifically collects. I didn't think I was going to win the auction with such a low bid.

Most importantly does the attached letter change anyones opinions? Im at a crossroads where fight tooth and nail for my money back, or I got a great deal on a real Eric Clapton.

I greatly appreciate everyone times and input on the matter.

Thank you,

Danny

I have a letter from David Gilmour's PA which explicitly states the 5x7 enclosed was hand signed for me as I could not obtain his signtaure, only preprints. I was sent yet another preprint. I don't think it has any value apart from a fan. Fortunately I have him 2X.

Its all wrong
