13th Authentic Jackie Gleason SP I have ever seen. The others are all shown here.

Hi All,

I have finally located an obviously authentic signed photograph of Jackie Gleason. He is so very rare. Incredibly underrated. Signed vintage cuts are the norm; signed photographs, in any role or straight portrait, are just not around. The last I saw was a 1962 Ektachrome 16x20 color signed mounted photo - and I sold it. This is C. 1950. Only authentic signed photo I've seen between 1945 and 1962.

Enjoy!

If anyone has any signed photo of Gleason please post it here :)

The detail of this glossy 6x8 is amazing. Better than any other period print I've handled. I wish the ink was blue but you can't get everything.

Beautiful!

Thanks Steve! This is a true rarity. Very happy :)

Very nice, Eric.

Bumb for the night crew.

I've only seen the ones you've posted over the years and this one is a cracker. Did you get this online or local? He is one on my list to get but it's likely to be a long wait

Thank you Dan. I found it online. I was working on Hiroshima stuff when the hairs on my neck stood up and said "look for Gleason now" and I did - there it was. It's like a spider sense - has hapened before. Other than a very few 1940's SP's from his first and failed venture in Hollywood, there are about 3 SP's from the 70's (just 1 Honeymooners bus photo and 2 Bandit), 3 from the 60's (1 Soldier in the Rain, 1 Hustler and 1 golf porttrait in color 16x20 which I found and sold) and that is all I know of after all these years! Never saw this image signed. Other than the 5x7 I have which is unable to be authenticated and a letter on his stationary which I believe is authentic. NO secretaries sign "jockie" as Gleason did. That is a help.

It's great you found this and I've seen so many secretarial signatures that you almost lose hope that you'll see another real one.

Not technically a photo, but a magazine cover

Did I find this one for you Patricia? I seem to recall it - 1959? It's lovely, ;)

Yes you pointed me in the direction!
