I sold a gorgeous $10k dollar [Tom Petty] signed LP for $50 because of the "opinion" of folks here.

I said what I wanted to say. Thank you!

"...Beckett certified the album, it turned out to be 100% legit. You guys evidently don't know what the heck you are talking about. You should seriously consider NOT giving your opinions in the future. You are doing more harm than good..." - from Rusty's original post. This conversation shall remain open so others can have their say as well. Please post clear images of the item in question so it can be discussed properly. Why did you edit out your original post and alter the (now restored) title?

+ 1 Where's the beef?

More like baloney.

Rusty Jenkins,

This post is almost 4 months old. You never posted the Tom Petty album or COA from Beckett in this discussion. You removed the photo of the album from the discussion you referred to and closed the discussion.

And $10,000 for a Tom Petty, or Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, is a ridiculously low price. About 3-times higher than the most expensive ones I've seen.

Then your discussion was followed by a post on a site by an anonymous member there that used it to  defame this site and me. It's obvious that you are not being truthful. I am labeling this post fraudulent if you don't post the album and BAS COA, because has all the signs. We provide valuable help protecting collectors and consumers from forgeries. You are trying to chase consumers away from this site so they aren't as protected as they could be against forgeries.

And you sold the album for $50 as a "wall hanger"??? So you are admitting you sold that album, believing it was a forgery, without defacing the autograph(s) so someone doesn't get burned.

Post the album and the BAS COA.

You guys are about the price, I hadn’t checked the prices so I was totally off base on my assumption. I guess I thought petty would fetch more but ghat is not important. I will tell you this… It still got authenticated. No way Im going to repost the pictures and destroy it’s value for the new owner who is a current customer. I sold it for $50 for the value of the LP plus the wallhanger artistic value of the signatures because they looked awesome. Deface them… if you think anybody is going to do that you are crazy and just looking for reasons to discredit my first and only experience in this forum. You guys are crazy. It’s still a shame, they were really nice high contrast signatures and honestly… I totally would have kept it. I’m over it at this point but I was very disappointed. I wouldn’t be wasting my time posting here if it didn’t happen, people can decide for themselves.

Want me to circle all the things that don't make sense?

It doesn’t matter anymore, you guys were just trying to help. I just wish I would have sent it to Beckett myself but I was discouraged from doing so by the opinions on the forum. I had even shared the initial thread link with the buyer because at one point we were both wondering if it was legit, or maybe just I aas because the first thing he did once he bought it was send it send it right in.

"...Right?..."

Wrong.

There are plenty of experts on this site in a number of areas. Raking in cash for a hit or miss, often half-assed opinion doesn't mean you're necessarily an expert. TPAs do not have the comprehensive knowledge they sell themselves as having.

Derek, like who would you consider an expert TPA?

+1

I would pit my Jackie Gleason skills against anyone. Even your valued TPA's. PSA just removed 1/2 of what they had from the Gleason Facts page using the information I sent them.

I too was wondering just who he is talking about.
