Authenticity is Everything
Where can I find a Sharon Tate autograph and how much would I expect to pay?
Does anybody know where I can find a Sharon Tate autograph or know anyone that is willing to sell? Because they are pretty rare, what would I expect to pay for one?

There's not many around being sold. EBay is probably the worst place to buy an authentic one.

Gabriel - If we are looking at the same one, that $8k piece on eBay does have a letter of authenticity from PSA which gives it credibility. Looking at the RR link Joe provided, their Tate sales have been all over the board from $3k up to $10k (inclusive of the 25% Buyer's Premium).

Would you say that a cut autograph would be worth somewhere between 3-5k, this one has been authenticated by JSA and ACOA

I would never consider such a piece or recommened - It fails on all my 4 personal criterion: Condition, Contrast, Quality and Eye Appeal. There is such a thing as "authentic but a very poor example."

Gabriel - I personally like this JSA/ACOA authenticated example you've posted. In vintage material that is rare like this, there are usually always trade offs. The ink looks right as far as I can see based on the image. Ballpoint is a very telling ink source. It also has context which I feel is extremely important. It's not a simplistic signing.
What do you personally think of it? That's what's most important if you are considering it.
As far as 3-5k, that would be a personal decision. Based on the RR results Joe linked, that seems it may be a bit excessive. Still, it's passed two well regarded sources.

I disagree. It can never be A material and there is nothing I see that mitigates the problems. Condition is poor, conrast is poor, there is no eye appeal and there is a general lack of any other qualities. That age tone is near fatal with everything else going on. Of course, rarity creates wiggle room in some areas, but not all and not all at once - not for me Perhaps I am missing something but what context does "John, your'e a sweetie" give it?

I think what Etienne meant was that there is a story behind the autograph -because it was originally signed to “John” who was the original artist for the storyboard art he created dedicated to the 1968 film “The Wrecking Crew” starring Sharon, in a way it’s a intimate auto where the signer recognized the art.
