I seem to have a lot of orders in the pipeline at this point,
and wondered how everyone keeps track of preorders, release dates, price paid, etc.
Excel spreadsheet? Separate email folder? or something more...
I'm not as organized as I should be, but having all the details together in an Excel table, would make things easier when I have to challenge what was shipped (like the recent Aurora CD)
Was just curious and this might be helpful to everyone.
(also, how many times a day are people checking this forum? I'm probably 12-15x / day to not miss out)

Usually I mark with a pin/star my emails from orders and payment (PayPal or credit card) and I only disable them when I receive them or after I get some sort of refund or re-ship. And then I send them to a folder. That way I can keep track of what I’m waiting/bought.
About checking the forum, maybe the same amount as you or a little bit more eheh
I use the notepad application on my computer and I just type out what I bought, how many of the items I bought, the price of what I bought, what payment method I used, and if I have received that item or not. I usually just keep this site loaded on my computer and refresh every 10-20 minutes.
I use the “to do” app with release dates and stuff
I have a spreadsheet with these columns-
quantity
order date
who
what
item cost
shipping cost
expected shipping date
real shipping date
arrival date
website
I have a folder for preorders and a second folder that I move whatever emails come in stating whatever item has been shipped. Also keep a folder of screenshots of the completed transaction when ordering.
Used to have just a single folder but with all the fake, unsigned or order a signed cd get a 3' sticker or whatever they decide to send I have been keeping better records in case I have to make a claim or return something.
I made an email folder called orders, and keep track of all all the orders there . Once I get the email confirmation, I move it to that folder. very easy for me to keep track
if you use Gmail or yahoo.. make sure your authentication info, phone number are correct.. i just found out the hard way.. unable to access my email even with a correct password. Permanently locked out because I no longer have my old phone number.
There’s an app called ShopPay that you link your debit card to. Any and all purchases made with that debit card online can be tracked in the ShopPay app
