I am working with a person who's late husband was a collector of Presidential signatures, and she has not found any COA's that may illustrate authenticity. Here is an example of the Ronald Reagan. I have seen some autopens but what or how does one try to determine authenticity with a cut like this. It was framed into a nice showpiece for display with inaugural invite and Photo. Ronald Reagan signature

I am just going from memory but that might be an autopen pattern.

Unfortunately that is autopen.

the 3 distinctive dots are a clear indication of autopen unfort

I'm not an expert on Reagan at all but I have a ton of autopen experience. These early autopens are easy to spot. Zoom in and see how the ink has a similar pattern of slightly stuttering consistently through the signature. Thats an even more prevalent sign than the dots. But both are easy to spot clues along with comparing other known autopen signatures

Those dots were what I was thinking about regarding veracity. I had asked myself only pauses could have made that and to have 3 indicators was too much for me.
