I finally added this signed photo of Griffith in costume as Sheriff Taylor. I’ve only seen a handful of legit Sheriff Taylor signed pics. It’s in gem mint condition to boot.

My apologies brother. I put in a huge max bid as I didn’t want to lose it. As you know legit Sheriff Taylor signed photos are unicorns……

No apologies needed. I'm glad to see it went to a good home.

However, the more I read about it, and look at the photo here, I really wish I would have won this one. Lol.  I have a nice, small collection of legit Griffith autographs. Mainly checks, documents, and the typical photos, but none as Sheriff Taylor. I thought my last second bid at that amount would bring it home...  I should have known better.  Lol

It really is an outstanding photo.    Congrats again!

What we should do as a group is if there is a certain one somebody really wants maybe the rest of us in here let that one go. Just a though. I honestly don’t see me getting another of Andy.

Frank - I don't to what extent that has been discussed on here, but it might be a discussion worth having. I've been going to auctions for over 40 years, and I've learned this;  there are no friends at an auction.  Lol

Many times I'm at a sale where I'm up against a friend, acquaintance, etc. I've talked prior to bidding to find out how bad they want it, are willing to pay, etc. I've passed on a lot of things by not bidding, and vice-versa.

How many times have we looked at an auction we won (or lost) and thought, had that one bidder not jumped in, I could have saved (or not cost them) hundreds more?
