Thanks for your feedback. My order's still "processing", I didn't get an email regarding a payment update - it seems like wait and see ...
I got a similar email in the summer. Book was dispatched two months later.
Mine has been at local branch for collection for a week or so. Going to finally grab it tonight.
Checked with waterstones today and got this repmy. They are working on them.
Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, your Waterstones.com order for this book has been temporarily delayed due to an ongoing warehouse issue. I am very sorry but I am not able to provide a definitive dispatch date at this time. We are working through open orders on a first come first serve basis, prioritising popular pre-orders. The issue is affecting our business at multiple levels and so we are not able to use many of the automated systems that we would normally have access to. This means the majority of orders are being resolved manually, and so we don't have the facility to provide specifics for individual orders without potentially slowing down our ability to dispatch the orders. Unfortunately the issues have caused a backlog that we will work through as quickly as we can, and as more of our automated processes come online this will likely proceed at a faster pace than it has done recently. To give you an idea of the numbers involved we have manually processed over 20,000 orders over the last 5 days and that does not include the dispatch of items to our shop network. I am sorry that I am not able to provide any further information at this time and should you wish to cancel your order in light of this I would be happy to do so on your behalf.
They sent me the same email when i asked about my Graham Coxon book last week or so and again today when i asked about this book.
Still a bit annoying than everyone gets their copies but we dont
Ok mine finally just got dispatched! Will probably get it in around two weeks
Collected my copy from Waterstones yesterday.
Love the old school signature which you can actually read - better than an indistinguishable squiggle!
There was a time when all signatures were legible and neat and this would not be special. Someone changed something about what is quality in the semi-recent past. I have an idea why but who can really say? Do we even teach cursive anymore? :(
To be fair I’m only 25 and I’ve always written in cursive, that’s how I was taught in school. But most of my friends don’t write in cursive anymore…
I have an horrendous writing but because it’s cursive they think it’s beautiful haha
Arnold Palmer always made his legible. He always said if a kid waited to get his autograph on the golf course, then it was our responsibility to make sure it was clear for them to see. Trisha Yearwood also has a great signature
