Wouldn't surprise me if the pre-orders got slammed and are still playing up. Happened many times before to me.

I noticed that so I helped myself to the signed Neil Young book they still had in stock.  Winning this morning (it worked out to 25% off all books)

No more free shipping to the US. I still expect this to show up at B&N eventually.

Nothing yet in the UK. Some sites mentioned earlier they would offer signed copies to those who pre-ordered if they got any, but most of those remarks are removed so maybe that means they will not get any.

Looks like it. Just received this response from Kemps regarding my pre-order:

"We have just heard from the publisher that we are unlikely to be allocated any signed copies of the Patrick Stewart book after all. As advised this was a long shot but now we know it is unlikely we would be happy to refund you and cancel your order if you wish."

Hoping that this isn’t a Cormac situation, and they are just doing an open order and whoever ordered first gets them. I would love to cop a couple of these at the promotion prices, and have them actually ship. Doesn’t seem like many other places are getting them.

Link is already posted unless this is a different edition?

yeah, it was posted on the previous page well over 24 hours ago and they are still available which is making this feel like the Cormac Mccarthy situation all over again. I can't remember how long they were available on B.A.M. but it seems like it was just a few hours before they sold out and there is no way these should still be available, especially with the buy 3 get one free sale they had going on but they do seem to always way oversell the big releases and then just cancel the orders they can't fill when they see how many they get. hopefully some of us got in early enough to get them.

It's interesting how they are putting "Indigo Exclusive Signed Edition" I think they did that with Geddy if I'm not mistaken. Still don't think he's going to be signing enough to fulfill how long this has been up. Especially with all the UK stores taking off the "Signed options if they become available".....who knows

You have to look at it per market. Canada and UK are usually different publications from the US. For example Tom Hanks is printed by Knopf US and Knopf Canada with different identifiers (ISBN).

So in the Canadian market it's an Indigo exclusive, not available in other Canadian stores. That also means they made that deal to be able to call it that, so they will definitely be getting copies and will probably know exactly how many.

I believe the Cormac books did not have "Indigo signed exclusive" in the description.

well as expected Indigo just canceled my order, not sure why they can't figure out an inventory system

That stinks Joel. Indigo reminds me of the Seinfeld bit, "anyone can take a reservation, it's the holding of the reservation that's the important part." I may have an extra for you if you can't find another. I have an order for 1 at 2 separate places. Tried to hedge my bets a bit.
