Maybe William Shatner today isn't the real William Shatner.. I just saw a recent interview.. there is no way that dude is 92.. i call human forgery.. autopensapien lol.. seriously after finding out his current age, my mind is blown.

You are right, his sig looks like that. I was checking this Beckett certified signed uniform and doesn't read as William Shatner

Maybe this would make more sense that spending that money on a vinyl

That looks very atypical and a blend of periods. I'd avoid that one. The return policy says something.

I was going to say something last night but didn't want to jump the gun. Im just starting to learn shatners signature and didn't want to speak without being a bit more informed, never cared about him before now. After looking at this one quickly, I instantly didn't like the "flow" also skeptical on the beckett one posted above. I never trust 3rd party authentictors. Ive seen some things sold by sellers on ebay, like probstein123, who sell a lot of 3rd party authenticated items that I would never touch. I believe authenticators give special treatment to the high rollers who keep the money circulating, and let some non authentic items slide.

Always have to compare with known in person signatures

Hello Jason,

I do not rely on stickers or papers and I don't buy such items as they are at best overpriced. Yes, many mistakes get made. Look at the PSA Gleason problem only recently corrected.

As you are looking at Shatner signatures, let me show you a secretarial that often sells for authentic, and an early authentic example from a contract:

And here is a contract signature from the early 1960's:

I know you don't. If you say you researched someone, I trust you completely. I tend to generalize my comments for the good of the community and didn't mean to imply that its something you personally do. I know you are extremely thorough.

Thanks for more Shatner info and examples. Its great information that will help out everyone looking including myself.

I still fight with people on occasion who think Dan Aykroyd doesn't send secretarial signatures TTM.. its always good to post more info like this to educate everyone in our hobby

Thank you, Jason. It is my pleasure to share. :-)

Twenty years ago I crossed him here on the streets of Buenos Aires walking with a group of Japanese tourists and no one recognized him. I though for a split second in offering to tour guide them and asking for his autograph.

I didn't stop because my Chilean girlfriend at that time was waiting for me to pick at her hotel and I was already late. It was the Captain Kirk or dump my girl and a following drama she would have done later.

Now that i just found out that Mr. Shatner doesn't do autographs maybe I was saved from an embarrassing moment.

But has been a thought that I never forgive myself to have let that unique opportunity passed by.

I think he came in for a Comic Con. A new event at that time I wasn't aware of.
