Hi everyone,

This item came out of a very nice autograph collection that we bought. The collection also had another Earhart signature that we auctioned on eBay with no problems. However, after listing this item, eBay removed it fairly quickly. I've compared the signature to many other examples and believe it to be real. Several bidders were infuriated with the removal of the listing because they believe it to be real as well. I'm wondering if the blue marks near the signature and then on the back are marks from some authenticator? Does anyone have any opinions?

eBay was right! Definitely not real in my opinion. A rough forgery.

Indeed. Crudely drawn.

I studied Earhart for a while before purchasing her autograph, this is indeed fake.

Thanks everyone!

Very slowly drawn and stretched out. Looks at the E in particular... not good.
