Hello

This autograph came from a friend family.  They believe it was aquired during the 1960 Kennedy/Nixon race.  It is oan old card stock photo signed across the picture.  The autograph is faded, so I tried to get the best pictures I could.

Thank you

Facsimile.

Looks like one of his autopen patterns to me.

I did not see a match for an Autopen but that is certainly not live ink.

I have included a couple of microscope pictures.  The signature has some bleeding, and stop-flow characteristics to it.

It is difficult to get a good picture in the dark areas, but it appears to be ink, or ? on top of the photo base.?

From the images I am going with "...? on top of the photo base..?."

I'm not an expert on Nixon but it looks genuine and signed on the photo to me.

it is definitely his signature, but still not sure if its live

Here's a VP autopen.  I do see some slight variations but they might be attributed to the machine operator.  In any case, it seems to be the sane photo.

All of the Autopens I have seen have been on the white area of the same photo, not on the photograph.  This is the only one I could locate that way.  Leads me to believe hand signed.

I do not think it looks like an Autopen. Perhaps the ink looks so very bizarre because of the photo texture but still odd to me. There are three very unusual things that are in the OP and what JK posted. The dots on both "i's" seem to be in the exact same position and the bit of the "N" that runs into the "d" appears the same.

The OP and what JK showed also appear to be the same size in relation to the photo as well.
