It is rather suspect, trouble is as orders are cancelled theres nothing that can be done. its a race against the cancellation machine now.

Personally I'm not to bothered either way I got the signed book from the live signing from premiere collectables for a previous book and met Jack Black a few years ago.

But what I would suggest is trying to reach out to what appears to be direct contact not just regular social media but email as social media is flooded and will go overlooked.

Maybe also the publisher too as they are the best point of contact in this instance.

I don't know if the publisher has a website but it again is worth emailing. Don't make bold claims only stick to the hard facts don't assume no ones had them just push the point that you've heard no one having had a dispatch notice and that you know of no one having had a copy of this. Stick to facts not assumptions helps a lot in getting a result.

The persons whos name is attatched to this social media at least X is unused for years the website fantoons has it's email addresses protected so how you get those I don't know.

Any hope left at all on this, or was it all just a bad dream?

Mine is still running late. I just left it and forgot about it. I feel if we complain to Amazon it will just be canceled. We can complain to the publisher directly?

I'd expect them to just ignore us at this point. I see lots of complaints below the Tenacious D Facebook post for this book, but no response.

I'm out of ideas then. Over Christmas, there was a huge Amazon "event" with a few ebikes where Amazon took the funds and created shipping labels for thousands of orders without actually having inventory. Its documented in another forum how people complained to reps and were promised compensation but had it taken away and supposedly had their conversations on file altered. Amazon is not the company it once was. Reps won't have any information and talking to them about this will get you nowhere and they may end up canceling it for you without consent. If the publisher has no response, the only thing we can do is leave it in the cart and hope.

I'd also install a third party parcel tracking. I am using on that is refreshing the order throughout the day and if it changes I will be the first to know.

I don't think anyoen even got a copy of the edition.

I've seen a few actually signed on ebay but I think they were from a signing event. Memory is a bit foggy on that and I'd need to recheck where but there were definitely a few on ebay

The ones where the actual book is signed come from special events like SDCC and NYCC.

The Amazon offer was for a book with signed photo (image undisclosed). I've only seen these being offered as pre-order, none in-hand.

You're right, I keep forgetting what the description stated. Its always been in my head that the books would arrive signed instead and im not sure why

I think everyone will find a new email this morning, and it's not what we wanted to see.

the email items photo shows untitled , I can only say this really shows it never existed.

Good luck to anyone who still has an open order please do share us photos once its delivered as this never appears to have existed.

Due to lack of availability, we will not be able to obtain the following item from your order. We've canceled the item and apologize for the inconvenience.

Cancel email received as well - no love from The D--

At least it's resolved instead of continuing to hang out there

Mine also finally cancelled LOL. Oh well.
