I bought this from this guy for $400. And he told me that he got the signatures in person and it had a Beckett certificate of authentication with it. This is what came in the mail today. Definitely can't trust the coa. But, the signatures could be good. I'm no Cars expert. Please let me know what you think.

The guy claims to be a good friend of Jeff Wolfe over at iconicauctions. I have messaged Jeff with the following message and Jeff says he's legit but can't speak to the specific item. So I sent him a copy of it. This is the exchange between me and Jeff.
Hey Jeff, how are you doing today. I recently came across a man who claims to know you, that I was hoping I could get some feedback on them from you. So it all started last month when I purchased a signed Eagles item through one of your auctions. Everything was fine with that, however inside the record sleeve there was a business card for a guy named Lawrence (Bing) Cherry. I called him and he told me he had been selling through your auctions for years. And that he had a bunch of other signef stuff all Beckett certified that he would be willing to sell me a few things directly. I looked through his stuff and decided to buy a Cars Panorama fully signed by the whole band for $375. Which is a steal as you know as long as it's good. Again he said then it was Beckett certified and signatures were obtained in person. So I sent him the money PayPal goods and services even though he wanted it sent friends and family which would have no recourse on my part as I'm sure you know. Fast forward 5 days the signed album shows up at my door through usps mail. Problem is, there was no Beckett coa. It had som generic one that looks like it's a scam as you can see in the picture. I apologize to bother you about all this, but Bing keeps throwing your name around and how he has been dealing with you directly for many years. I tried telling him that this coa he sent me would never come with Anything sold on iconicauctions.com. He claims that I'm wrong about that and you do sell signed items with coa like the one he sent me. I know that can't be correct. Another thing to mention, I was very friendly and calm with him when I called him out on this stuff and ge immediately took offense and said he didnt have time for this, he won't have his word questioned, etc. From my experience people who are honest don't get angry when you ask them simple questions about what they are selling. In fact an honest on likes explaining themselves. It's that simple almost every time. Anyway the guys name is Bing Cherry from J&B Collectibles out of Scottsdale Arizona. I hope for my sake he's not connected to that crook Michael Dunn. I sent some photos of what he sent me. I just want to make sure you really knew this guy and see what your take on it is. He offered to have me send the item nack to him and he would give me a full refund if i want. Obviously i would rather hope its real and keep it. Also im not sure the proper steps to send it back that will insure getting reimbursed. Thanks for the help. Sorry for the long story. I just wanted to be thorough. I really appreciate any insight you can give me. Thanks again.
He claims that he has sold signed albums through iconicauctions.com that came with this same questionable coa. If he is in fact a fraud it would explain why he was really pushing me to buy a handful of signed albums all at once for my first purchase through him. He told me to send it out to a reputable place but that can take months to get it back and by then I might not have any recourse. Not to mention the $100 to $200 total price the send it out and get it authenticated or not. I don't know what I should do? It's hard to find honest people these days. I just assumed when he claimed he new you well and had most of his items authenticated at your office when Beckett was there.
His response.
Andy, I do know Bing and have known him for 20 years. However, he has a very large collection and so I can’t speak to the authenticity of everything in his collection. Can you send me a picture of the signed album you acquired from him?
"he wanted it sent friends and family"
That's enough for me.
I'm not trying to cause any trouble.... but this is the kind of thing that makes me uncomfortable on this board at times. Is Jeff Woolf okay with this correspondence being shared with all here?
I smell a rat. The first story was that the seller got it signed in person, but later that changed to "it was signed in person". Who was there when it was supposedly signed?
And if the seller got it signed in person why is the COA from a retailer who sold the item? And where is the Beckett COA?
The seller also has his own retail operation.
He may not be a forger. He might simply be careless or too trusting in what he buys. He certainly was not straightforward with you, though.
Get a refund and run like the wind.
Your right there is definitely alot of different information floating around regarding this. Thank you
What is the best way for me to go about returning it to him and getting my refund without any potential problems?
I have actually returned maybe 2 autographs in well over a decade and that on eBay for misrepresented condition, not authenticity. Hopefully someone will answer this question - it is an important question. If you don't get a response - start a separate discussion with your question in the title.
It was also $400 then $375...
