Here’s a Keith Haring letter with the same wording that’s also supposed to be from a 1992 Sotheby’s auction. The Lennon letter says “Stanley Park” while the Haring letter says “Brownling Green Park”.

No Thanks...The early days of rock'n'roll/Beatles auctions when lots of junk was mistaken for the real thing...if you look at the older catalogs...(late 80's-early 1990's)...it like a "Joe Long" festival...

Here’s the envelope that’s included with the letter. The address is 5 Blomfield Road. John’s mother Julia had lived at 1 Blomfield Road.

I don't think that's a real postmark.  And it's interesting that the letter doesn't have "England" or "UK" as part of the address.

I know that if I had gotten a letter from John Lennon I would have treated it a lot better than that one was "treated".

For sure. The postmark does look odd, and both items look artificially distressed. Both letters include “the” before the name of the park.

Was there ever a company Lennon Music? I thought it was LENONO Music?
