Also, there's no ageing. A very carefully protected and stored piece may show little or no ageing after 40 years but this remarkably fresh.
+1 The whole ting looks suspect. Cared for very carefully but made in such a poor way? It is not trimmed from a letter apparently, so why at all?
I with I had my IP from that party!
Exactly. I saw the same.
That seems wrong for the intended period IIRC.
Hi Eric, forgive my ignorance but what does IIRC mean? Is there an intended period?
Sorry Eva - If I recall correctly". I was noting the abbreviated last name seems a bit later?
Those appear far more recent (last one certainly). Let's say it is authentic (you say "could be"). It is atypical, pasted to a five sided brown board, trimmed tightly in the shape of a blimp and can't be matted. The color and age are - unusual. Again, cared for very carefully but made in such a poor way? It is not trimmed from a letter apparently, so why at all? Odd item. Fitting a budget is great and admirable, but if you cut too many corners you wind up with a circle.
I'm amazed that the first of the two examples passed Beckett authentication. I don't think I've seen one quite like that before. The "H" is particularly odd.
The second example seems right but is much later as Eric notes.
I did not really look at the first - too atypical for me.
