This one has been making the rounds on the market lately.

JSA gave it the nod for a fee in January '25.

How does it look?

Not for me.No way.How?

I agree with you.

The JSA letter, that's how (unfortunately, imho).

$1,249 with of nothing - hate to think what the fees were for this "authentication."

I'd have used a pen knife. Who would just rip that out?

For effect?  Looks old if it's not neat?  I would imagine the page was removed and then the signature applied recently.

That speaks to the potential sucker, as does the un-aged ink The presentation is off. If of any value, even personally, why rip it so? I believe there are fewer album pages ripped like this than carefully cut speaking generally. It is unfortunate the original ripped edges were not shown on that earlier sales pitch.

How could this look neat?

I remember my father met Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff one one day in a theater in the late 40's/early 50's I guess on Jamaica Avenue? It made me think of when I met Bela Jr,, who I worked with after, and Sarah Karloff and Ron Chaney at Chiller in Jersey in 1995 or so. Delores Fuller and Ben Chapman were there as well. Delores let me stroke her angora from 1955!

it has characteristics from several periods (but some after 1944) and lacks some formations tand a baseline that should be there.

Look at the relation the the second, third and fourth letters of "Bela" along with the baseline. Look at the interior of the "e"...The "L" is closer to a a Lillian Lugosi.

This one is about 1928:

This is 1931 or so:
