I ordered a signed copy from Rizzoli months ago and they noted they were hoping to have her sign extras. I assumed this meant they were have her sign additional copies of the book. They are now selling signed book plated editions. I hope I get a signed copy rather than a bookplate. I was under the impression since she was physically at their store that she would sign the books.

The Rizzoli information has changed several times from what I can tell.
First they put the event on sale too early and cancelled my tickets. Then they cancelled my order. Then they put it on sale and I was able to order a signed copy for delivery. At that time, there was nothing about a book plate. All it said was first come first served. Then a few weeks ago I saw it said we cannot guarantee signed books will be shipped. AND NOW...it's a book plate?

I emailed them after my purchase for delivery. Bought this as an Xmas present and stated I don't want this book if it isn't signed. Their response at that time was that they will try to get Annie to sign as much as possible for shipped orders but can't promise anything since she is under no obligation. They would however let me know if none are in stock to fulfill my order. They wouldn't send me an unsigned book.
However, now with the bookplate option available, this complicates everything. I'm guessing she brought a bunch with her for them to slap in books so she didnt have to stick around for anything. Hopefully they will reply with more info

My copy from Rizzoli ended up being a bookplate. (I ordered early off the original email that was sent in error…they had said they would hold the order in the event of extra signed copies).

Just order one!
I got my Rough Trade book yesterday, It came wrapped and I was not sure if I wanted to open it, as it is a really beautiful book. but the ISBN was of the regular book, so I opened it and it is the unsigned book.
