Colleague got for me in business.

That looks real and quite nice to me. When did you get it?

2009ish. Colleague did business direct with Hollywood stars and he would get them to personalize photos to me. I was never there....so just wanted some validation it wasnt a secretary, etc.. Ford was a big surprise. After all these years I am considering to sell it. They look to be pricey.

It looks fine but I'm not a Star Wars authority. I'd ask Steve Grad, who was the lead authenticator of PSA/DNA and Beckett Authentication before going off on his own last year. Steve's absolutely the world's top Star Wars authenticator.

You can get a quick, online opinion for about $10, and the odds are he's 99.99% right.

Found it

I've been talking to OP on Facebook and thought I'd continue the discussion here to see what others say.. I'm not a reseller and ran out of info to tell OP. Im also having discussions with my wife about what will happen to my collection if I pass away suddenly so my family is taken care of for a while. Hopefully that doesn't happen for a long long while but its good to have a plan set for her.

Anyways, could anyone provide info to OP about the best way to sell this? Also high priced items in general. I wouldn't think this is a good candidate for ebay. Is this considered an auction house item? What should OP do if they want to sell an item like this asap?

Jason, did you post this in the wrong discussion?

No no. Im talking to OP on Facebook and he's trying to sell this item fast. I don't want him to be taken advantage of so providing whatever info I can.

Im not sure what advice to give anymore since I'm not a seller. He told me he posted here and I thought I'd come and help ask advice from others.

Apparently my personalization on this otherwise top notch auto is killing its for-sale market value. Erasing is too dangerous for me.

Surely this is a common situation. I'm I stuck with a $40 photo?

Advice please?

I would happily be willing to pay $200 for that personalized photo, so it’s worth at least $200. 😆

Worth a lot more than $40. Perhaps as much or more as an uninscribed one for someone named Casey. Hang on for a couple days...I got an idea.

I wouldn't attempt erasing on that type of photo. Its not true glossy. Telling others it may be possible is off the table as well. Whoever buys this photo is stuck with the inscription.

I think most of your issues are trying to sell fast. Your going to deal with people who will only buy below value regardless before a true collector with money to spend. I would also spend $200 if I saw this out in the wild and im not even a fan of Star Wars or Indy haha.. I have my own special way of covering up inscriptions though but in that thinking, I would treat this as a cut even though the photo would remain untouched. Im not in the demographic you are looking for.

If you have good standing with ebay, you could sort of test the market, wasting a strike on your account by starting this at $1 for a 10 day auction. If you are not happy with the auction ending price, cancel the order. As a buyer, I've seen auctions hit or miss lately.

Harrison Ford shouldn't have any problems attracting watchers but this is why you want bidding extended out to 10 days to attract as many as possible. Most people only bid within the last 5 seconds with there max price so others don't have a chance to let FOMO take over and outbid them.

I don't know when ebay is going to switch over to extended bidding (im personally going to dread it as a buyer) but whenever they do, it will be interesting to see if people revert back to the auction format being more popular like it was before COVID.

Maybe join some star wars or indy groups that allow sales and see if you can get attention there?

Thank you sir. I will take your advice and try the eBay approach....with patience. It's so cool to me, I sorta hating letting go. ....seasons of life...
