Ok, that’s everything. I’ll leave it up to everyone to decide what they think, and where to go from here. Again, please take a moment to become familiar with the signatures at play and their features HERE  …it’s long but mostly pictures :-)

I cant find my ip sig, - it will turn up when i stop looking I guess.  No way was it as smooth, peachy perfect, and beautifully aligned as these, - my opin for what its worth

Yeah, I have serious concerns. I took my own copy off the shelf to examine closely as part of this process, and it will not be going back up.

I believe that says everything Matt. Your assessment is both fair and reasonable. Thank you again for your time.

Thank you Chris, that means a lot. I did try to be fair and objective. I know not everyone may share the concerns, as I said in my previous posts.

I encourage everyone to look closely at the available evidence for themselves. Maybe pull out your own copy out as well.

I have uploaded individual photos of all the book signatures that I used in my analysis. Again, the photos and analysis are *HERE*

Overlay videos are available in my prior posts on this thread.

Given the debate with Michael Douglas (I bought one from Waterstones and given its context there is a chance it could be secretarial) it won’t stop me from ever buying signed or “signed” books.

Anyway on the topic of signed books, I bought this book signed by Priscilla and just wanted to give my story basically.

I ordered the paperback edition of this memoir from London and from what I can tell it’s an ink signature that has been put into the book on a bookplate.

im happy with it and if it does turn out to be a secretarial or an autopen so be it - wont stop me collecting nor sending my books back because to be honest the prices are negligible and the return would just be too much hassle - if we were talking £3k that’s a bit different but we’re not and it makes a fascinating addition to an ever growing collection of signed books I’ve collected over time.

Also I’ve really enjoyed the collection that has been compiled and compared for evidence of secretarial and autopen as it helps other members but for me personally, it’s not a major deal but that doesn’t mean books, where there is controversy, do not need investigation.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m glad you found this page and enjoyed looking through the comparisons.

I agree that these signed editions typically aren’t sold at much of a premium, but I think most people buy them specifically for the signature, with the understanding that it’s genuine. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. I guess it’s ultimately up to each person what they’re comfortable with.
