I was offered a trade for this autograph. The person offering this said it was worth 4k and would be more in a cpl of years. What is everyone opinion on this? Is it real?

Thanks,

-M

The person who claimed that it is worth 4K is either a scammer or a moron.

Melissa, hopefully that isn't a friend or a dealer with whom you've done business with in the past. They surely know that this autograph is a forgery and are intentionally trying to rip you off.

Nobody who has an authentic Babe Ruth would ever send it to AAU, Chris Morales, ACE among others. Those fools even touching an authentic Ruth would bring the value down below that of an uncerted Ruth.

It was a responding offer to something I am trying to sell (not even sports related). Just a random reply to my listing. Was seeking to find out if his offer was of any validity, thank you all for the quick responses. :)

With that COA? I wouldn't trade yesterdays newspaper for it.

Good one, Rick.

Check out this piece-of-crap forgery "certed" by Drew Max.  It's listed this month on Roach's Corner.  You have to read the item description.

Melissa,

The Babe Ruth doesn't look real, and it's certified by a AAU/Drew Max, an authenticator known for authenticating forgeries as genuine. I would avoid it and whoever offered it to you.

Thats what I figured..the offer didnt seem right to begin with. But wanted to get some opinions and do some research on it before turning it down. Thank you for having this place for advice. :)

You're welcome! Glad to help.
