Why are these signatures being authenticated in mass by JSA?

Found this on eBay. It's probably from the same source as the Harvey drawings/IAWL pictures suspected forgeries given the "ames," and then "S" and "rt" in Stewart. I hope these don't continue to pop up.

It comes from a generally good seller. I've found that a decent number of them do. I wonder if we'll ever have the story on them. I just wish they'd stop entering the market. There are hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands floating around. It's ridiculous.

No need for more comparison here, Bob. The photo I posted is so obviously bad. Each letter is more painful than the last. I like your examples, though. I think I've commented on them before.

Hi.  I'm a retired English teacher and back in the mid 90's I had my kids along with me write to various celebrities in all kinds of fields, as part of a biography lesson plan I was developing.  One of the people i wrote to was Jimmy Stewart.  As in all cases I explained about my biography project.  Well I received the accompanying signed photo.  Not sure if it is authentic, but from what I've seen on this series of posts It looks pretty good.  I've posted a high resolution copy of the photo.  It was signed with a black marker and while the picture seems to make the signature hard to read, in reality it is quite clear on the photo.  Perhaps some of you can give me an opinion.  I sent the letter along with a self addressed and postage return envelope on 6/15/94 and received the photo on 8/8/94.  It is a black and white photo about 4" x 5".  It was accompanied by the short bibliography, also posted here.  It was typed on a sheet of paper.  I sent this to James Stewart, P. O. Box 90, Beverly Hills, CA.  I believe Mr. Stewart would have been 86 years old at the time.

Thanks for any help you can give me.  This is a great set of posts.

 supposedly genuine signed as signature is over the stamps, yet it is in exact same place as in the below image, suggesting a print
