Hi All,
Just found this website and I'm hoping to get some help on my autograph from Sir Paul.
I used to work at JFK airport in the late 70's early 80's where I obtained a few celebrity autographs during that time but my most prized is the one Paul gave me in (I think, October) 1984.
I hate to have to sell it, but I had to take early retirement and things are tight around here.
Someone offered my $800.00 a few years ago, but I didn't think that was a good price.
Here's a pic.
I would appreciate any opinions or advice and thanks in advance.
Eileen
I don't see anything wrong with it either. The members of this forum had an opportunity to purchase it prior to it going on eBay, but the best offer didn't meet her minimum price. I can't blame someone for wanting to maximize the value of their item.
first of all, she came on here looking for advise on how to sell it. it wasn't until someone showed interest in buying that the discussion changed focus. I dont understand why this upsets people. we are here to discuss autographs, and offer opinions. This is why we scare some people away.
So you think someone with over 150 feedback on ebay came here for advice to sell? Maybe I missed the post asking how to list it or even advice on what to do but if you can direct me I would stand corrected.
I see someone looking for a fish, then a ebay link.
yeah, that is exactly what I think.
Great, you seem to have forgot to show me the link asking for advice. All I see is a person signs up to "show off" the item then shows off the ebay link. No advice was given, but the ebay link sure was after being listed.
I didn't "forgot" to show you anything. you see things as you want to see them. Obviously several people on here, including me, disagree with your assessment.
I'm done with this discussion.
Maybe I miss your point. Somebody with 150 EBAY feedback isn't allowed to come here and ask questions? How many of those 150 transactions were from selling an autograph?
Selling an autograph versus selling other items on EBAY is a different animal.
Thanks Rick, exactly.
Look at the ebay items I've bought and sold. I can tell you anything you want to know about handbags and shoes, lol, but I know very little about autographs and the very knowledgeable people here were kind enough to give me advice.
Exactly.
Thanks to all of you for your support on this. And if I don't sell it now, then it wasn't meant to be.
Eileen, You broke protocol in a major way. You were supposed to offer it to me for $200.00 so I could be very happy and not have my wife kill me.
But seriously, I think it is a great item and you should get a good price for it. I have seen several similar in the past but that does not mean yours is not great and valuable.
BTW, I have one listed on ebay right now as well and hope for top dollar. Good luck to you.
